How to Defeat Thor
The god of thunder is a powerful hero. But even gods can fall. How can Thor, the God of Thunder be defeated?
Defeating the god of thunder is not an easy task. Odin depowers Thor and Thor’s power has been stripped from him, but Thor still manages to find a way to win.
In the Rise of Khonshu storyline, Moon Knight defeats an incapacitates Thor. It is a defeat from which Thor is unable to escape unaided.
How does Moon Knight defeat the God of Thunder?
Defeating the god of thunder is not achieved without some preparation. Moon Knight is empowered by the god Khonshu, but that is not sufficient power to stand a chance against Thor.
Moon Knight travels to the Mystical city of K’un Lun and challenges Iron Fist, Danny Rand. At first, Iron Fist is welcoming and when Moon Knight attacks, Iron Fist is surprised.
Quickly, Iron Fist fights, but the presence of a super moon and the relentless attacks of Moon Knight render Iron Fist’s defences and attacks useless. Moon Knight uses the Fist of Khonshu and having beaten Iron Fist into submission, uses an ankh to draw out the power of the immortal dragon.
Even the power of the dragon combined with Khonshu’s power isn’t going to be enough. Using a group of moon wizards and an army of mummies, Moon Knight invades the Sanctum Sanctorum. With the advantages of the power of Iron Fist and a good deal of back-up, Moon Knight takes the power of the Sorcerer Supreme.
In an stealthy move, Moon Knight boosts Ghost Rider’s Hell Charger. In doing so, Moon Knight has collected together the power of Iron Fist, Doctor Strange and Ghost Rider. Along with the power of Khonshu, Moon Knight has collected enough power to face Thor.
Moon Knight knows what is going to happen next, which gives him an advantage. A call from the Avengers brings Thor to Midgard, but Moon Knight is waiting, on the moon to intercept Thor.
Picking the location of the battle, along with the collected power and knowing Thor’s pattern of attack, is key to defeating Thor.
Thor gives Moon Knight a warning as he lands on the Moon. Thor starts to swing Mjolnir in preparation and when Moon Knight does not respond, lets the mighty hammer fly.
Moon Knight has anticipated and prepared for the attack. With the collected powers and the empowered by the god of the Moon Khonshu, Moon Knight is able to take control of Mjolnir.
Moon Knight explains that Mjolnir is created unbreakable Uru, a material produced from the creation of the universe. As a rock that existed before the great splintering, Uru is derived from the first orb of the night. Making it the first moon of existence.
Moon Knight uses the power of Mjolnir to attack Thor and launch him into space. Of course, Thor is more than just his hammer and Moon Knight has anticipated Thor’s powers.
While Thor is still shocked by the attack and dishearten that Mjolnir no longer heeds his call (remember how sad Chris Hemsworth looked in Thor: Love and Thunder?), Moon Knight uses the power of Doctor Strange to bring moons from different galaxies to imprison Thor.
Thor has been beaten and is held captive between Moons controlled by Khonshu.
Moon Knight couldn’t defeat Thor is a straightforward fight, but with preparation, planning and determination (a few power upgrades), Moon Knight can defeat Thor.
