Family Time for Batman and Son
Batman has dedicated his life to battling crime on the streets of Gotham, so when it comes to a father/son camping trip, Batman does it a little different.
Everyone needs a break. But crime in Gotham doesn’t take a break.
He might not be taking a break, but Batman also has a son to take care of and that means he doesn’t have a choice.
Batman’s son (if you were unaware) is a little different from other children. Surprised, right? Probably not.
Bruce Wayne has adopted three son over the years (Dick Grayson, Jason Todd and Tim Drake). All of them have become Robin and all of them have moved on. They might be comic book characters, but there is still some character development. Dick Grayson became Nightwing, Jason Todd got killed (and came back from the dead) and Tim Drake become Red Robin.
It's important to cherish the time and when Batman and Robin take out a couple of criminals talking about taking a road trip, Robin asks Batman what a road trip is.
If it’s unusal that Robin doesn’t know what a road trip, that because he’s a little different.
The current Robin, Damain Wayne, is Bruce Wayne’s biological son. Kinda. He’s the son of Ra’s Al Ghul’s daughter, Talia. Batman and Talia had a little romantic time together and she neglected to mention Batman’s son. Probably because Damain was raised as an assassin and the heir to the empire of Ra’s Al Ghul. Damain is also the recipient of several transplants. Grim stuff. But suffice to say, Talia has a few replacement parts ready for Damain. It’s a strange family.
Bruce decides to take Damain on a camping trip. They don’t bring costumes (although Damain does bring his sword (it’s like a security blanket for assassins). And they get into a little trouble.
As they near the camping ground, they encounter a whole host of missing person flyers. And within minutes of arriving at the camp site, Damain finds a dead body. It must be a drawback of being a crime fighter.
When they try to leave, they find that the whole area is surrounded by a force shield that stops transmissions out and keeps them in. But who are they kept in with?
The whole situation is a set-up to allow hunters to hunt human beings. Except they haven’t caught normal human beings in their net, they have Batman and Robin (except they don’t know it).
With limited resources and without costumes, Batman and Robin have to take out an army of hunters including a super villain with the power to bring weapons from a different dimension. With a name like Bloodsport, he sounds well suited to the situation.
The other hunters go down easily, but Bloodsport is more of challenge.
